I love full moons!

And summer riding nights

Lorrie and Brian came down and spent the night and we went golfing at Gladstan. The Gladstan Back 9 is one of my favorite places to golf. If you've never been you definitely should.

Brian got this Fox club cover for Lorrie for her birthday (even though her BDay isn't until Sept 18th), so she got to use it that day and then it was going into hiding. :) So of course most my pics include that cute little guy.

My computer is having a slight blog overload, I'm a little behind.

Oh well. My grandma has a sign at her house that says "I'm so far behind I thought I was first" That's how I feel sometimes, and I have absolutely no excuse.

We went to Arizona over the 4th of July to visit Shalice and Dusty and we had a ton of fun. However, it was SOOO hot. Lucky for us we relaxed and floated the Salt River to keep cool. Since I didn't dare take my camera, this is about the only pic I got of it.

Shalice making our yummy lunch to take with us on our tubes

If you know Shalice and Dusty they are HUGE into food. So we went to all local places to eat during our stay and it was all so yummy. They have tons of magazines with local reviews, etc. and they try them all out. Off the top of my head I can't remember them all, but some places were Sakana sushi and Grill, Liberty Market, Four Peaks Brewery, and Smash Burger. YUM!

We were able to visit my grandparents while there. We don't get to see them very much and we had a great time catching up.

THE BEST SUSHI ANYWHERE!

We hosted a Father's Day dinner for all of Brett's family and it was really fun to have everyone come. Happy (late) Father's Day to all dads, we think Clay and Fred happen to be the best!

My niece Teryn just started Cheerleading and they had a fundraiser at Texas Roadhouse. It was a little (or a lot) chaotic having 5th graders serve you, but it was really fun! Good job Teryn

On the south side of Genola there is this structure on the mountain. I have wondered all my life what it is, and I still have no idea. But we rode the four-wheelers down and decided to check it out. I have been looking on the internet and still have no clue... so if anyone knows, please fill me in.

Signs of Summer

Ok, so I follow a RIDICULOUS amount of photography blogs/websites. And a few have challenges/assignments that are daily/monthly etc. to find random things to take pics of.

Well I "loosely" follow their instructions.... meaning that I don't have the time.

But... I have been training, once again, for a half marathon... hello Hobblecreek half.. (well not really), and I have been more interested of what I find on my runs than my actual training...

I may sound hillbilly, but I love the small town I live in. The other day I was going for my "long run", and some older local fellow passed me a few times in his truck while he was watering ... and then finally stopped and said, "Mam, I don't know where you live, but you've been running a long time and I can give you a ride if you need one". When I said no, he offered at least a soda... It was so tempting......

All these pics are along my "training route"

Oh, how did HE get on my blog.....

Maybe because he is the coolest dog in the world!

As you can see, you shouldn't disturb the pollination process- these things are everywhere, and I stay away!

I love fresh hay. Even more when it's not in shortage and $8/bale.

I have TONS of pics I have not posted... so stay tuned!

HOT, HOT, HOT!

We just got back from several days in Arizona visiting family (with temps ABOVE 115). I will post pics of the whole trip soon, as well as other "happenings".

If you follow my blog (which I doubt many do...), you know I am obsessed with photography, and love learning and trying new things. I got my new lens recently for many reasons, and one is to be able to do more "night" photography.

We were at Shalice and Dusty's house and the monsoon storms were there and the sky was so awesome! I had to experiment... and this was not edited- the sky looked just like this! I wish we were somewhere to capture the whole skyline, but oh well, maybe next time!

Thanks for having us Shalice and Dusty!
