Hiking Timp

My family decided to hike Timp and we signed up to go. We couldn't figure out why we had to start at 4:00 a.m. and we almost bailed out. On our way down the mountain 8 hrs later I figured out why we left so early- good idea. The hike was great, and VERY long. We had 10 in our group and everyone was very sore after.
Brett celebrated his 26th Birthday recently- Happy Bithday Brett!
Me and Brett at 4:00 a.m. before starting to hike

Hiking on the trail (the right trail). We started out on the wrong trail to begin with (it was dark and nobody knew where to start). After 45 min on the wrong trail we started on the right one.

Lorrie and Bryan

Mountain Goat- there were TONS of these. We also saw two huge Moose

Us at the top- I can't believe I was still smiling, that hike was hard!

At the summit

On the trail (before Brett left me, he's quite the hiker- I'm a little slower)

After the exhausting hike we decided to float the Provo River with Shalice, Dusty and Austin. It was so much fun but because I didn't have a disposable camera this is the only shot I got.

Wow, what a busy weekend- we can barely walk. Good news is tonight is the annual golf tournament.... can't wait for that!

Bryce Canyon and such

Last weekend we went camping by Bryce Canyon and had a lot of fun. Brett joined us on Saturday night (barely in time for the Rodeo in Panguitch) and we had so much fun. We fished a lot at Tropic Reservoir.
Brett jumped in the water (which was VERY cold)- he later lost his glasses in the water and never found them

We got the horses down to our house finally and have been riding around the hills and orchards. Bryan likes to get in the canal and swim- its pretty funny.

Brett's parents came down to Fairview to watch him at the rodeo, It was fun to have them come.

BC Finishing

It has been a while since I posted anything about Brett's business. He has been very busy and doing a lot of jobs out of town. He started the summer doing some work in Oakland for a big business building, and has spent most of the summer (well his worker Johnny has spent all his summer) doing a big resort by Page and Lake Powell. Last week he was in staying with Shalice and Dusty while working on the Scottsdale Center for Performing Arts - I think that's what it is called (basically an opera house). Bretts not that good at taking pictures (he usually leaves the camera home- which is what he did in Scottsdale). We are hoping to go to AZ this fall and get good pictures once it is all finished.
And now we are hearing he may be headed to St. George later this fall and work on the Sand Hollow resort. Brett LOVES St. George and would love to go down for a while and work- but I have to stay home and work :(
As for work around here he has also been staying very busy and is just starting a big huge home in Hobblecreek canyon.
I have found myself griping a little (ok, maybe a lot) because he has been so busy and he's been gone a lot- and then I remind myself that it could be worse and that I need to stop whining.
Thanks Brett for all you do for me, I love you and appreciate all the hard work you put in for us and your business!
