River Rafting Trip

I finally found my pictures from the disposable camera from our trip last weekend. I am so upset because the picture quality is horrible- but what do you expect from a $5 camera!

Flaming Gorge

Last weekend we went to a few rodeos (something we haven't been doing much of this or last year) and went to Flaming Gorge for the remainder of the weekend. We had never been and it was really fun. We can't wait to go back.... but with a boat this time.
We also rafted down the Green River but my battery died on my camera so I bought a waterproof one and can't find the pictures on my computer- stupid thing.

Salt River Trip

When I was in AZ last week to visit Shalice and Dusty we decided to float down the Salt River- apparently a popular thing to do down there when the weather reaches 110! It was so hot down there I couldn't even breathe! I bought a $5 disposable camera for this trip..... wasn't sure if my new camera would be ok.
We rented tubes for the 4 hr float down the river.

4 hours later we had to drag ourselves out of the river

Thanks to Shalice and Dusty for letting me come and spend a few days with them. Me and Brett want to go back down before the river closes and do it again.

Lake Powell

It has been a fun last few weeks. I had a week off because my doctor went to Alaska on a fishing trip. Brett has been working out of town most the summer so I took off and went to see Shalice in AZ. We went tubing down the Salt River and had so much fun. I will post pictures of that when I get time because I bought a $5 disposable camera (to save mine from getting wet) for the trip down the river.
After that we went to Lake Powell for the July 4th weekend. It was a lot of fun as usual. The water was great, weather was great, and no wind- which was great. Bad part of the trip? One jet-ski didn't make the trip home.... and is still at the bottom of the lake.

Us- Brett just LOVES to have his picture taken.... over, and over, and over....

Shalice really does like her picture taken :)

We had so much fun- we can't wait for Labor Day to do it all over again!

Random Summer Pictures

We have had a very busy summer so far. Brett has been working out of town for the majority of the summer- starting in Oakland Ca. and has now been doing touch-up on a big resort by Lake Powell and Page. Hopefully soon he will be done and be home.
This is us at the Genola days celebration

Brett and his dad on Father's Day. We love you Clay and Fred.

Clay got a new riding lawnmower, which is much needed.

Becky and Jake moved to Utah recently and we are so excited to have the girls a little closer so we can spend more time with them.

Since Brett has been working out of town a lot with his business, Brian has been stuck at home alone during the day (something he isn't used to and doesn't like). Brett's grandpa Marx made him a dog house -complete with insulation, removable roof, and a little awning. Brian loves it.

Brian's favorite place- riding in Fred's ranger

We have a lot of pictures....enough that there are 2 posts!

Random Summer Pictures Cont.

Brittany recently competed at her State event in Gymnastics and did very well. She has been a level 5, but gained enough points to qualify for a level 6. Lorrie and Brittany have decided to keep her a level 5 for a while to get her more experience and to refine some of her skills. Good job Brittany, we're so proud of you!

Brian and Brett being lazy

We are loving living so close to the lake. Brett has been wanting to do more fishing, and he has been more this year than he has for a long time.
We also like living closer to our friends Brett and Jenny, who we are seeing a lot more. This is Brett B. and Katie fishing.

And of course Brett and little Brian

Now for the improvements on our house. We thought when we built our home that it would be so fun to finish everything, but we were wrong. We found a good deal on trees recently and bought 19 to plant around our house. Luckily the ground was very soft because of all the rain and it went pretty fast.
1 down, 18 more to go!

Brent and Tracy gave us their old lawnmower, which is having some problems. Brett is determined to get it going.

Earlier this summer Fred brought his tractor down to mow all our weeds. We want to do a yard soon (but probably next year), and with all the rain our yard looked awful with so many weeds.
We didn't have blinds when we moved in (the money budgeted was swallowed elsewhere), but we are starting to get them little by little, which is very nice.
