New house pictures

We have spent the last two weekends staying in a trailer at our new house getting stuff done. We painted all last weekend, and started laying board for our slate. I have to admit, it is a lot of fun staying there, but it is also a lot of work
This weekend we installed the basement windows, cleaned up, and laid more board so we can start doing only slate next weekend.
We should have our cabinets installed this week, as well as have the stucco done with color. Our rock should also start this week.

This is looking out our front door (which is currently being made). As you can see, there aren't many houses.... that's why we want to live there. In the distance is a designated wetland area, so no houses will be there!

This is looking out the back of our house and our deck.

We painted a base coat of color, and will finish with a few colors in some of the rooms, but mostly we are doing a faux finish on the walls.

Here are some current pictures. They are a little out of order.

Thanksgiving Point
Brett have been doing work for Thanksgiving Point's golf club house. We were there this last weekend getting the front doors done because of their big tournament today and tomorrow. This is before...
and after

We celebrated our one year anniversary last week and we actually ate our wedding cake... and it was good!!! We had spice cake with cream cheese frosting, yum!

For dinner, we went to the Foundry Grill at Sundance. It was very good and we had so much fun

On a side note, we met and were able to talk with Deron Williams from the Jazz (go Jazz) while we were there. He was very nice (and handsome) and waved to Brett as he drove off in his brand new silver Masseratti!

Whewww!!!

Wow! The last few weeks have been so crazy!!! This post may take a while!

We have been moving so much! We are finally settled into mom and Fred's until our house is finished, thanks mom! We moved our home, Brett's shop, and we spent a weekend moving our friends, Brett and Jenny, from Richfield to Delta!

This week, on June 12th will be me and Brett's one year wedding anniversary! I really can't believe it. I am posting pictures of our wedding (partly because I wish we were in Hawaii again).
We were married on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at 6:00 P.M. at Ironwood Beach in Kapalau- Maui, Hawaii.
I have always wanted a 'destination' wedding, on a beach (Brett really didn't care where we got married). I wanted it very low key and simple- and thats just what happened
We started our wedding day with a long walk-just me and Brett. Since the time difference, we were always up at about 5 a.m. My mom had bought me some nice hiking sandals (which I decided to break in on my walk that morning). I had so many blisters that we had to stop at a store on our walk to buy me some bandaids- I barely made it back with my shoes still on!
My brothers and sisters were all going parasailing, so we decided to join them. I was nervous for Brett because he is afraid of heights, but he said he wanted to do it. Once we were up there 800 feet, I was scared to death, and Brett loved it!!!

We actually had 2 wedding cakes-one in Hawaii, and one for our open house. This cake was from Costco in Maui, and it was great. We saved the other cakes top layer for our anniversary this week, but I must admit we are very leary of eating it. Brett said I will need to try it first, but I think he should!

This is us the day before our wedding scoping out the beach we got married on. Brett's mom and sisters are in the background.

Well, I finally got my license for dental hygiene. I have a job in Orem working a couple days a week, and have been temping every other day. I have worked nearly every day since receiving my license. I have an opportunity to pick up 2 other days per week in another office in Orem, but I really enjoy temping, despite most people hating it- and I really enjoy a little variety and change- and I have to admit, I enjoy receiving a paycheck after so long not receiving one.

Brett moved from his 1200 square foot shop that he started in to.....

We no longer live in this house. We have so many memories of this house, it is kindof sad to leave. It was a great place to live. Brett was here for nearly 4 years

Our house currently looks like this. We passed our 4-way inspection on the first try (which we hear never happens). Our roofing, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and insulation are all done. Our outside stucco and rock will be starting this week and our drywall was suppose to start last Thursday, but because of the rain and muddiness, they couldn't get their truck close enought to unload. Hopefully this week will be better.
