St George

Last weekend me, Lorrie, and Becky went to St. George to run a 10K race at Snow Canyon. Many of you know I have been training for a 1/2 marathon to run sometime this year (Im chicken and haven't put a date on it yet:)
My "training" for my 1/2 marathon has slowed down a little because I got burned out running on a treadmill with the weather and I started doing other things. I have also found out that running isn't my "thing" and is very hard for me. After the 10K I found a lot of blisters and my feet hurt the worst- I bought a pair of "nice" running shoes recently, they they aren't working for me.
It was fun to have a girls trip, even though it wasn't a long one.
There is nothing like eating Taco Bell at midnight at the hotel the night before the race!

This is us before the race

Ugggh, the crappy rollaway bed I slept on- I think my back still hurts. It's funny how the older you are the pickier you are with your sleeping accommodations.

A couple weeks ago my Grandma Fox passed away. Because of our Mexico trip we weren't able to make it to the funeral. I am happy for her because after 88 years I think she was ready for a reunion on the other side. Love you Grandma.

Mexico was AWESOME!!!!! My computer is getting so slow at posting pictures that I'm getting lazy at adding them. I will post some pics of Mexico soon.
Apparently while we were down there there was a lot of violence in the border towns and people were getting killed. ??? After we got back I heard all these warnings about traveling to Mexico but we had no problems!

The pull out bed does suck. Looks like you still had fun in St. George. You guys look so cute in your matching running shirts.

congrats on your 10k, but sorry you ended up on the pull out. thats what happens when you are younger then them. I would know because I am the oldest girl. lol

Hey, I said you could share the bed with us. . . . the next morning :). BUT we did save $10.00 by not having any bedding! Because we are older, we are even more picky than you about our sleeping accommodations. You definitely need different shoes. My feet were tired, but no blisters, and yes, you will need new shoes in order to run the 1/2 marathon!

Haha, people care more about my sleeping accommodations that the fact I ran a 10K the next morning... lol. I forgot to mention the extra $10 charge for the pullout that we didn't pay and I also had no bedding (maybe that will make people feel more sorry for me:)What a fun trip- I wish I could say I can't wait for the 1/2 marathon, but at least that will be at night!
