Camping

A few weeks ago we did our annual camping trip to Green River (which happens to be the coolest place ever to go camping). We all had so much fun, and the best part is nobody got hurt! All the trailers and machines worked good also.
Fun, Fun, Fun
Since Mom and Fred didn't come, someone had to hand out the Cookie Dough. It was Maycee. If you know my mom, she ALWAYS has cookie dough on hand :)

Brent and Bryan, and Fred all got the new Rzr S's, and they were a lot of fun. We are now saving for a Rzr, but probably not the 'S'. Hopefully next time we go we'll have our own. :)

St George

Last weekend me, Lorrie, and Becky went to St. George to run a 10K race at Snow Canyon. Many of you know I have been training for a 1/2 marathon to run sometime this year (Im chicken and haven't put a date on it yet:)
My "training" for my 1/2 marathon has slowed down a little because I got burned out running on a treadmill with the weather and I started doing other things. I have also found out that running isn't my "thing" and is very hard for me. After the 10K I found a lot of blisters and my feet hurt the worst- I bought a pair of "nice" running shoes recently, they they aren't working for me.
It was fun to have a girls trip, even though it wasn't a long one.
There is nothing like eating Taco Bell at midnight at the hotel the night before the race!

This is us before the race

Ugggh, the crappy rollaway bed I slept on- I think my back still hurts. It's funny how the older you are the pickier you are with your sleeping accommodations.

A couple weeks ago my Grandma Fox passed away. Because of our Mexico trip we weren't able to make it to the funeral. I am happy for her because after 88 years I think she was ready for a reunion on the other side. Love you Grandma.

Mexico was AWESOME!!!!! My computer is getting so slow at posting pictures that I'm getting lazy at adding them. I will post some pics of Mexico soon.
Apparently while we were down there there was a lot of violence in the border towns and people were getting killed. ??? After we got back I heard all these warnings about traveling to Mexico but we had no problems!

February Things

February came and went very fast for us. We have been staying very busy and enjoying ourselves, as always.

At the first of Feb we went down and stayed at Brett's grandparents place in St George and we had a great time. It rained and rained the entire time. We did a lot of driving around and even went to Zion's (where it snowed on us). Our golf clubs we brought didn't get used at all.
Fire Danger? I think not

At Zions

Even though it was raining, we went on a fun hike in Zions. I must admit it was the perfect time to go there because we were about the only ones there.

At the end of our hike overlooking all of Zions

We stayed in St George and watched the Super Bowl. We love it down there and would someday love to live there.

Valentine's Day cookies are the best. Lacy and Macy are doing a great job making them
My wonderful husband got me some very nice roses.

UDA conference is in Feb. My office stayed in SLC for a few days to attend all the lectures, etc. It was fun to get to catch up with old friends- some I used to work with, school buddies, and current coworkers.

I am very excited to have Feb behind us, we are looking forward to Spring and all its fun activities. March will be very busy for us. I am going to Mexico, St George (for a 10 K race), barrel races and ropings, and then camping at the first of April.
We are doing very well and feel very fortunate in our lives and look forward to what this year will bring us.

Miracles do happen

BRETT FINALLY WENT SNOWBOARDING WITH ME!!!!
Brett has been promising me since we first started dating that he would go skiing/snowboarding with me every winter, and he always finds a way to weasel out of going.
Lucky for him I just went ahead and planned the trip and told him there was no "out" this year!
AND WOULD YOU GUESS THAT HE ACTUALLY HAD A GREAT TIME?
Brett before we started thinking this must be the worst day of his life....

Me and Crystal (she joined us for her first time). I am very sad because Crystal is moving to Colorado soon :( Me and Crystal have been great friends for a long time and I will miss her so much.

Brett giving two thumbs up! We had so much fun and now he can't wait to go back-

Crystal needed help from my nephews getting strapped in her snowboard. I have only been snowboarding once before (last year with Shalice) and it was the first time for everyone else (except for my nephews who of course are really good and ditched us... lol)

Me, Brett, and Crystal

Becky and Jake

This is the year we are going to get a land line at our house. Brett gets so mad because talking on the phone at our house is nearly impossible. You literally have to find a spot and not move in order to talk to someone- which I must admit is a little nice...

At my Mom and Fred's for Dinner
Tyson and Brady- the great snowboarders

Bryan and little Reece- she is so dang cute.

Brett's dad Clay does awesome work with leather, horse hair, braiding, etc. and has been featured in several magazines, newspapers, etc.
We are lucky enough to start collecting some of his items- he is always working on cool stuff.
This is a stingray headstall. He also just gave us one with ostrich leg that is awesome!
Thanks Clay, we love you!

That's it for now, we are trying to survive the winter! Can't wait for our little weekend getaway to St. George, where hopefully it will be warmer!

Cancun Trip

Ok, where to begin...
We had a wonderful trip to Cancun and had a hard time coming back to reality.
Of course I took several hundred photos and tried to narrow it down to a few.... well this post is much longer than I thought.

De-icing in Denver on the way there.... brrrr.
There were plenty of Santa sightings

Laying around Christmas Day. I was so homesick Christmas. We want to go again next year (somewhere else warm), but will definitely be going right AFTER Christmas.
(Notice our "King Size" Bed- what a ripoff)

Beach at Tulum

We went to the Mayan Ruins (Tulum) and it was so much fun, but very crowded. It was so pretty there.

These things were everywhere, we kept seeing them
